This short letter from James Anderson of Company A of the 102nd Ohio Volunteer Infantry dated November 17th, 1864 is to a Mrs. Batlin on London stationary. He describes a bullet ripping a clean hole through their tent without injury and supplying specimens from the battlefield. He encloses a sample of mistletoe for Mrs. Batlin collected from the field after battle as they neared the Christmas holidays. The letter was sent from Decatur, Alabama. Very good condition some minor spotting, good contrast. [ Alabama
