A Civil War carte de visite and pocket journal of David Cook. According to an inscription written by his son at the front of the diary, this small (2.5"x 3.5") leather covered book was found on his father's body after he was killed in Chattanooga on September 22, 1863. The encased photo measures 2"x 3" and both the photo and the diary are in nice condition. Please see photos for more details. [Chatanooga] [Tennessee] [] [] []
