An incredible and historic quintet of movie company stocks that are related to such pioneers of the movie industry as Mary Pickford, Charlie Chaplin, D.W. Griffith. The General Film Company produced several Chaplin directed and starring vehicles like "The Tramp" (1915) and "A Night in the Show" (1915). D.W. Griffith directed films like "The Musketeers of Pig Alley" (1912) and "Ramona" (1910). The next up is a 1916 issued certificate by Biograph Company, which is responsible for such films as "The Lonely Villa" (1909), directed by Griffith and starring "America's Sweetheart" Mary Pickford, "The Woman in Black" (1914), starring Lionel Barrymore (Drew's great uncle) and Alan Hale The skipper on Gilligan's Island's Dad) and "A Lodging for the Night" (1912), directed by Griffith and starring Pickford. Last but not least, we're offering three stock certificates issued by The Mutual Film Corporation. This is the company where in 1916, Charlie Chaplin was made the highest paid entertainer when he signed a contract for $670,000 a year. Mary Pickford and D.W. Griffith were also in the Mutual stable. These certs are all cancelled and in good shape. Please see photos for more detail and condition.
