These photos come from the George Abbey collection. Three generations of Abbey's worked in Wadsworth and Sparks. 1-2) 1911. Two almost similar photos in front of engines. Twin engines numbered 1150 and 1151. Thirteen crew standing around for photo. 3) Unidentified men standing in front of a Sparks railroad building in the 1910’s. The man second from the left is a railroad lawman as can be seen by the badge he is wearing. 4) Seven men standing on engine 1150. 5) Six men in front of switcher engine 1151. Men are identified on back. Two stains. 6) Three identified men in an orchard. One is Charles McNeil who was the chief manifest clerk in 1920. 7) China gang clearing snow out of the grounds. One is identified as being worth $15,000? Picture taken January 28, 1916. On that day the highest snow fall to date in Sparks had occurred. 8) Same date. Photo of the snow in front of the station in Sparks after it had been cleared by the China gang. 9) Thirteen identified men standing in front of the office. Includes herders, switchmen, agents, engineers, and car scalers. 1) Engine number 1194 with conductor in engine and four identified men on the ground.
