"Collector's Pot of Gold" Americana Auction (March 2023 Timed Sale)

Auction Details

Welcome to our special March 2023 timed sale, the Collector's Pot of Gold Auction!

This two-day timed sale has over 1,300 lots in over 10 collecting categories incl. Mining, Bottles, Numismatics, Sports, Stocks, Philatelic, Art, and General Americana.

It is a mix of old and new material, with an emphasis on lower priced/entry-level lots and larger groups ideal for dealers.

And to celebrate the St. Patrick's Day weekend, we've decided to open EVERY LOT at just $10! It's your "lucky" day!!!

Starting at $10 does not mean the collectibles are cheap, common or unwanted. What it does represent is a following of the world-wide numismatic market, and that of our rarities auctions, of letting the bidder and collector set the prices. If the lots start cheap, then all it takes is your bid. We have so many thousands of collectors that we hope all find things to their liking. This format is the future, and we know you’ll have fun with it!

All of these lots come to us from major collections. Many of these items were offered previously, and may have been “missed” by collectors who focused on items of greater interest at the time. This sale allows for spotting these missed rarities. Also, just because an item may be less expensive, does not mean it is not rare. We offer here many “one of a kind” pieces – but the value is up to you.

This is a timed auction, so there will be no live auctioneer or audio/video feed. You can bid now up to the day each session closes. On the 18th and 19th, you will be able to log into a virtual console and bid live, just like normal. Each lot will open with an automatic timer that is reset with each live bid. Once the bidding stops and the timer runs out, the auction advances to the next lot.

We're sure you'll find something perfect for your collection or dealer inventory. And at a $10 start price, we expect you to bid early and bid often!

Thanks for your continued interest and bids in our sales!
