Very rare. Territorial. Assay Receipt #1358 for ore from the Silver Wing Lode, Snake River District, Summit County. Assayed for F. Witherell on Febry. 28, 1872. 9121 ozs. fine silver. Remarks: "Ruby Silver." Signed by H. Stoelting as Territorial Assayer. Snake River District was located in Summit County, 12 miles east of Dillon, CO. F. Witherell probably refers to W. Frank Witherell, a mining engineer and financier operating in Colorado in the 1870s. Condition: some toning. Right corner crinkled.
