Extremely Rare Colorado Gold Belt Map on Cloth c1902. Map Showing Gold Best of Lower Clear Creek and Gilpin Counties Vicinity of Central City Color. Traced from Official Maps in Office of Surveyor General of Colo. S. A. Rank. M.E. U. S. Dep. Min'l Sur. Central City Colo. Complete to Feb. 15th 1902. Scale 1 inch = 700 feet. Williamson Haffner Engraving Company Denver, Colorado. Paper map glued to cloth backing. Paper is in rough condition with tears, cracks, creases, etc., but map is complete and together due to strength of backing. Idaho Springs is at bottom of map with Newhouse Tunnel (now Argo) which was driven all the way to about Black Hawk. Virginia Canyon at bottom center of map. Shows Teller House, Bobtail Mill, Colorado and Southern Railroad to the Depot. Also shows surveyed mining claims. Very Rare. [ Colorado
