Incorporated in Pennsylvania. Located at South Park. Certificate number 425, issued for 100 shares to Sam. Diehl on March 8th, 1870. Signed by president W. Haseltine and treasurer James Clayton. Not cancelled. Black border and print, eagle vignette (center) and underground hoist vignette (left). Heavy folds and soiling, toning. Please inspect. 7 x 10.5" The company had 300 feet east of the Clark-Gardner, one shaft 250 feet deep, one 80 feet deep; a drift 220 feet from the surface, runs 25 feet from the surface, runs 25 feet either way, exposing a pay vein eighteen inches in width. On the mine was an engine house with a small engine for hoisting. They had a large stone mill in Nevada Gulch, 70 ft. By 70 ft., exclusive of the engine house 34 by 35, an assay office 20 feet square, and a recess on one side for a quartz room. The company built a lean-to on the side of the mill 25 by 112, and a brick muffle 80 feet long, 6 by 9 feet in size, with a stack 50 feet high.
