Three cabinet card photos for the Colorado Midland Railroad. One of the best may be Douglas City, shot from the rail line between Basalt and Hagerman pass. the photo is labeled "Down the Frying Pan", referring to the frying pan river. The city may be Douglas or frying pan city, we are not sure. The second view is of Mallon Tunnel aka Hellgate Tunnel at Hellgate Pass, over 11,000 feet in elevation. The third is a huge trestle, perhaps over half mile long. One of the photos is identified as by Howard. There are three Colorado photographers with the surname Howard in Mautz. Two of these worked along the Colorado Midland line. Date: Location: Colorado HWAC# 56453
