Nice vignette showing a cross-section of mining activity with machinery on the surface and miners working underground. Printed by Woodward, Kernan, & Hale, St. Louis. 7 x 9.5" Extremely fine condition. The company owned 5 claims on Mount Zion, 4 miles north of Leadville. These claims included The Grey Fox, The Red Fox, The Honest John, The War Eagle, and The Windsor. The Ten Mile extension of the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad passed within a "hundred rods of the property." (Ref: company prospectus)
