Lot of fifteen. All with original covers, including 8 Colorado School of Mines corner advertising and 2 Liberty Bell Mine of Telluride. Cancels include Telluride, Eureka, Golden, Denver. 1-2) Two letters from the Silver Wing, Eureka "We now know what veins we want to work..." "Our assays show that we have about a $60 ore at the present prices." 3-4) Liberty Bell, Telluride "About school; there is nothing I can do about it this summer. I just plain flunked..." There are a lot of new men on our level..." 5-12) Charles Haselton is in school (see items 3 and 4). The August 31, 1911 letter has 15 photographs: George Dale, LB Mine taken form the mouth of the Ohio Tunnel, Revenue Mill, pack train leaving Ouray. The photos are personal and RARE! One Gold Springs, Utah letter. These are all from Charles Haselton. Interesting group of letters about life at the Colorado School of Mines, as well as, some mining news.
