Nelson A. "Buz" Rieger, a historical Western Americana collector, held an exhibition "Rush to the Rockies," curated by Nora Slifer. A 30 year accumulation of Colorado's early paper memorabilia focused on Colorado's first artists, their artwork in newspapers, landscape printing and engraving, early railroad, homesteading, & guide book illustrations.
This grouping contains 2 frames with Colorado scenery. Illustrations of Pike's Peak, Mount Lincoln, Upper Twin Lake, & Castle Rock to name a few from The Christian Weekly, 1874. First frame measures 41"x23 1/2." Second frame contains illustrations of Pike's Peak & The Garden of the Gods. Measures 22"x 37." Nicely framed. Please see photo.
