The company owned the Ada Bell and Little Edith gold mines on the south side of Raven Hill in the Cripple Creek District. At about the time the certificate was issued the stock was selling for about 1ct. per share. Shoup was the son of Soliver Henry Shoup, governor of Colorado from 1919-1923. Merrill Shoup was an attorney and director, treasurer, or president of several mining companies and a bank. Stub glued to left border. VF; 5) Golden Cycle Mining and Reduction Company. Carlton, one of the great achievers of Cripple Creek. At the time this certificate was issued, the company was processing about 500,000 tons of gold ore annually. Eugene Shove was president of the Elkton Mine. He and A.E. Carlton and 3 other Cripple Creek dignitaries bought the Golden Cycle Mill and associated properties.
