This is a cased Colt 1860 Army with a Richards conversion S/N 200007 C. 1877. It has an 8 in. barrel, rebated cylinder S/N 268 with a good naval scene, loading gate # 807. The bore is bright, bluing is worn but also bright as is the cylinder. The gun is chambered for .44 cal. cartridge ammunition and marked on the left side trigger guard flat, and with one round in the case. Because this gun is a post-civil war civilian gun there is no cut-away on the recoil shield and a three screw frame. The gun in in-time. The case has a empty tin of Eley percussion caps, an oiler, and a screwdriver. The walnut grips have been varnished and very well done. The case is walnut and fit for the 1860. This gun is an antique and no attempt has been made to fire this gun to confirm their mechanical integrity. Nor should this gun be fired without the examination by a qualified gunsmith. Any attempt to fire an antique gun is at the the risk of the owner and not consistent with the value of the firearm. No sales to New York, New Jersey, California, or Hawaii. No FFL required.
