Two 999 Fine silver coins commemorating mining. One from the Bunker Hill Mine in Kellogg, Idaho (38mm), obv reads: // DISCOVERY OF BUNKER HILL LEAD-SILVER LODE / NOAH KELLOGG & JACKASS / WARDNER, IDAHO SEPTEMBER 4, 1885 //. And sho'nuff, there is a relief image of ol' Noah and his jackass in the center. The reverse reads: // THE BUNKER HILL COMPANY / KELLOGG, IDAHO / 1981 / BUNKER HILL / SILVER / ONE TROY OUNCE 999.5 FINE // at the bottom: // A SUBSIDIARY OF GULF RESOURCES & CHEMICAL CORPORATION //. This coin comes in its original flip with Bunker Hill information included. The second coin's (37mm) obv reads: // HISTORIC COLORADO MINING / .999 PURE SILVER // and shows a 24K-gold-plated relief image of a prospector and his donkey against a mountain background. The reverse reads: // FIRST COLORADO GOLD RUSH 1858 / 24 KARAT // which should be interpreted as the purity of the selective gold plating over the silver.
