Two pieces of Commercial College Bank Currency: 1) $5 dated Dec. 22, 1873 with three beautiful vignettes: American flag, spread eagle, dogs chasing a stag; 2) $20 dated Jan. 8, 1875 with three vignettes: railroad, Indian smoking on a barrel of Old Virginia, and the dogs and stag. These notes were used in the business department of the Cazenovia Commercial College in connection with C.N.Y.C. Seminary. Each piece is 7 x 3 inches. Cazenovia College was founded in 1824, known then as the Genesee Seminary, and just closed in 2023.
