In original blue case; bronze medal;68 mm. Compagnie Generale Transatlantique 1855-1955. Designed by Marcel Renard (1893-1974). Commonly named "Transat" & known internationally as The French Line, the company was established to revive the French merchant marine. The company's first vessel, the SS Washington, had its maiden voyage in 1864. In addition the company had a fleet of freighters. The company survived both World Wars._x000D_
