Lot of 14. 1) Harper's New Monthly Magazine, June 1865. Article "Washoe Revisited." By J. Ross Browne. This is the second paper by the author recording his observations during a visit in October of 1863. His first visit was in 1860. 2) Four repro. photographs incl. US Grant mine tour with Mackay & Fair, and two different of Gold Hill. Photos are 6 x 10" to 8 x 10" 3) 1877 letter to the residents of the Miners Unions of Storey & Lyon Counties from FF Osbiston. Two pages, lists new rules regarding superintendents. 4) 1888 county receipt for VC doctor FM Conn. 5) 1907 certified copy of the Articles of Incorporation of the Ophir Silver MC. 6) Speech of Hon. William M. Stewart as Senator of Nevada to Congress Jan. 2, 1889 on remonetizing silver for coinage. 7) Typed list of Patents on Claims in the Gold Hill Mining District. Undated. 8) Letter Discussing Mining claims and Alex Gambles mining stock holdings dated March 25, 1864. Gamble was a founder of Aurora and owned many claims in that town and the Comstock. 9) Typed list of 5 claims on the Chipman Ledge, Gold Hill, from 1863. Undated. 10) Cross Sectional Map of the Hale & Norcross and Potosi showing shafts, cross cuts and mineral layers. Tears along seams. 11) Bonus item is Superintendents Weekly Report for the Crystal Lake Gold Mining Co. - Has detailed sections on the mine, mill, shops, reduction works, mine consumption, mine output, milling and outside operations. Dated July 8th 1905. Mine in Nevada County, CA.
