Lot of 4. 1) Sept. 24th, 1862 letter to Mr. Fisk from Sand & Bro. Requesting 2 tons of salt, 1 ton of Sulphuric Acid and 0.5 tons of Sulphate of copper. All these reagents were used in refining Comstock ore using the Washoe Pan Process. Letter discusses different acids. 2) Manuscript 1867 receipt for the Savage Mining Company to the Temelic Mill Co. for crushing 890 tons of ore. Signed by the supt. of the mill. 2 cent orange NV and 2 cent US IR adhesive revenue stamps. Rare mill that was located in Washoe Valley at the lower end of Pleasant Valley. It was destroyed by arson in the early 1870s. 3) Woodworth Mill Co. voucher, 1885, to the Eagle Salt Works for 30,000 lbs. of mill salt. Signed by Lowell. The Woodworth Mill was located on the Carson River one mile above Dayton. 4) Receipt from JM Douglass & Co., Dayton, 1885, to the Woodworth Mill for sulphuric acid and "leadwork." Attached to Woodworth Mill voucher.
