Fantastic! Savage Mining Company billhead, Virginia City, 1892, to Wells Fargo & Co. for express charges on $23,091.33 in coin from the Carson City Mint to Virginia City. Signed by the WF agent. This amount would have been transported in gold coin. The mine would send bullion in to the Mint to be processed and exchanged for coin. This was the last year before the Carson City Mint stopped minting coins in 1893. In 1892, the Carson City Mint produced 1.3 million Morgan silver dollars, as well as $5, $10, and $20 denomination gold coins.
