Lot of 3. 1) Pacific Mill & Mining Company (stamped over Bacon Mill) revenue check, 1878, issued to James Kennedy. Signed by Bonanza King mining millionaire James G. Fair. RN-G. 2) Pictorial cover for the Fourth Annual Ball of the employees of the Virginia & Truckee Railroad to be held at "The Arlington" in Carson City, March 23rd, 1877. Violet cardstock with gilt highlights and a locomotive vignette! Missing the dance card portion of the invitation. 4.5 x 2.5" The Arlington Hotel had just been built that year! 3) RPPC labelled "Interior Fair House SF." Shows a lavishly decorated dining room. Fair relocated to SF in the 1880s and remained there till his death in 1894.
