Memorandum of Bullion for the Woodworth Sluice ("Consolidated Virginia Mining" crossed out). Consolidated Virginia Assay Office, Virginia, Nev. June 2nd, 1877. Two bars of sluice bullion for the Woodworth Mill, 1800 and 1600 ounces, .976 fineness in silver. Valued at $5,395.62. Signed by assayer Henry G. Elder. 8 x 7" Soiling. The Woodworth Mill was located on the Carson River about one mile above Dayton. In the early 1870s, it had 24 stamps and a 48-ton capacity. Rare sluice assay.
