This knife was made in Toledo, Spain where the best cutlery in the world has been made. Imported to the Confederacy during the Civil War as a presentation piece with the Confederate Glory trudging through a swamp as the hilt and grip. The blade is 6. 625 in. long beautifully acid etched on both sides in a scroll pattern finished on the ricasso with "Toledo" on one side and "1863" on the other. The overall length is 10.25 inches. The Glory figure is solid brass, and the knife comes with a leather sheath. Some patination on the blade in very good condition. Please see photos for details. From the Kevin Hoffman collection.
