Four pieces of Confederate currency: 1) Confederate States of America ten dollar bill, issued Richmond, February 17th, 1864. Depicts Confederate cabinet member Robert M. T. Hunter and features a detailed vignette of horse-drawn artillery. 7 x 3 inches. Very good to fine. 2) Confederate States of America twenty dollar note, dated Richmond, February 17th, 1864. T 67. Face engraving of Tennessee capitol. Blue back design creates nickname "blueback".
Measures a large 7" x 3". In the bottom right corner is a portrait of Alexander H. Stephen who was a Vice President of the Confederate States from 1861 to 1865. 3) The State of Georgia, Milledgeville, GA, January 1st, 1863, twenty five cents; 5 x 2 1/2 inches, vignette of three men. 4) Corporation of Richmond, April 1861, two dollar note.
