This letter is written by a surviving Confederate soldier listing the Southern recruitments from 1861 through 1864, as well as referencing J. M. Longstreet and Jubal Early. He also knew that his friends could not join the Grand Army of the Republic and gives instructions to rally around "the flag" -- that would be the Confederate flag. He references changing shirts to eliminate body lice. The author is unknown. Very good condition 8 x 10 in.
