Congress Spring Co./ C/ Saratoga, NY//Congress Water. emerald to teal green, three dots on base. A beauty from one of the central springs at Saratoga. Discovered in 1792, 25 years after the High Rock discovery. The hunters who discovered the spring that year were led by John Taylor Gilman, a Congressman at the time, hence the name. John Clarke purchased the farm where the spring was located in 1826. He was the first in the region to bottle and market the mineral waters. Condition appears excellent.
