"Report on the Geology of the State of Connecticut" by James G Percival, Gordon & Baldwin, Printers. This is a 495-page description of the geology of Connecticut in 1842 written in the terms of the best geologic science of the day. What makes this an especially rare volume is a detailed geologic map mounted behind the front cover. The map is creased but otherwise in excellent condition. The original binding is intact and also in great condition. The second volume in this lot is "The Historical, Statistical, and Industrial Review of the State of Connecticut, Part I, published by W.W. Webb & Company in 1883. It contains information about specific men and companies in Connecticut. The information is organized by counties, then in alphabetical order by the names of individuals or companies. The index lists the names of the people and companies.
