Black, embossed seal w/frontal view of locomotive center. Vignette top train rounding curve. The Kellogg & Buckeley Co printer. 2. Two certificates. Hartford and Connecticut Valley Railroad Co. incorp. July 1, 1880. The New Haven Railroad was rapidly increasing its stature in Southern New England. Seeing a good chance to sell their new line at a good price, the owners of the Hartford and Connecticut Valley Railroad convinced the New Haven that it should buy control. In 1892, the New Haven outright bought the H&CV. Both certs are Black, no seal, vignette top under title 4-4-0/w/cars @ depot l-r. EF cond.
