Tiny leather-bound book, filled with hand-written assay information, diagrams, ledger counts, assay amounts and records, plus other inscriptions, all in incredibly small writing ciphers. The author, Henry Patey, Assayer Consolidated Virginia Assay Office, wrote detailed accounts of several types. Map drawings of Lone Pine sites. Front cover embossed CCD. Copper and galena properties. 6x4". The Con. Virginia was a famous mine owned by the Bonanza Kings and the site of the Big Bonanza discovery. It was the largest producer on the Comstock.
