This stereoview by " Continent Stereoscope Company New York" in the right border with "Descriptive Views of the American Continent" in the left border buff color front/ buff color on the back. "212 A Picturesque Mining Camp in Arizona" front left image. This was part of a collection of photos taken during the Aztec Mining Co. excursion party that included photographer Enoch Conklin, Colonel William Boyle mining President, J.D. Graham Secretary, attorney Alexander Wilden, and other dignitaries including one cook and two drivers. No other photographers have been named in this excursion tour of "Picturesque Arizona" by Conklin. He was later robbed in a stagecoach hold-up while returning to Yuma. In pencil on the back "Conklin Tour Group at Aztec Mining Co. Santa Rita Mountains, AZ." Inage shows a mining camp with buildings, light to moderate contrast, good to very good condition. 7 in.
