March 17, 1897 at Carson City, Nevada, James Corbett fought Fitzsimmons. This souvenir badge has red, white and blue ribbon and brass pin "Souvenir" with a pictorial of the pugilists at work. Three and a half inches long.

Bob Fitzsimmons beat "Gentleman Jim" Corbett in the 14th round with a blow to the solar plexus. Governor Sadler and Bat Masterson were at the fight, and Wyatt Earp reported on the fight for the New York World. The fight was shot on 63 mm film by Enoch J. Rector, the former film partner of Thomas Edison. It premiered two months later at the New York Academy of Music and was later shown in Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, San Francisco and overseas in London and Dublin.
