Uncancelled stock, no. 608 issued to J. W. Pew, Trustee, 50 shares, signed by Wm. M. Pierson, President and J. W. Pew, Secretary, 1877. Cornucopia was in Elko County. Certificate is in fragile condition, very faint writing nice vignette of woman with a "Horn of Plenty". Cornucopia had a problem with claim jumping throughout its relatively short life. The mine did not last long as an article in the Engineering & Mining Journal in 1878 reported, "It is rumored that work on the Cornucopia Consolidated mine will soon be started up."
