Certificate #171 for one share of Capital stock, issued Dec 30, 1915. Uncancelled. Two tears along the bottom - 0.5", light creasing. Bond certificate # 740 for $1000. Redemption coupons 12-40 attached, with coupons 10 and 11 stapled onto 12. Handwritten note on back indicating the bond was paid, some of the ink has bled through to the front. Some staining along folds on backside. The CCR&LC incorporated in Texas in 1910 as the Corpus Christi & Interurban Railway, then changed its name in 1914 when it was sold to new owners from Pennsylvania. The stock was issued to Dr. George Hetrick of Pennsylvania, the noted collector of Civil War tokens and other memorabilia, and co-other of the definitive study "Civil War Tokens and Trading Card".
