Six letters from the California Debris Commission written to Mr. W.W. Waggoner. Waggoner was appointed as an Assistant Engineer for the California Debris Commission. He was tasked with investigating illegal hydraulic mining operations in California. Hydraulic mining was outlawed in California in 1884. These letters are from 1893 and 1895. Good condition.
