A group of about 37 pieces of printed letterheads and billheads with some personal correspondence, all from or related to Sand Coulee, a small town in Cascade County, Montana. Originally named Giffen for Nat McGiffen, the name was changed to Sand Coulee after the McGiffens moved out of the area. So there! Mines in the area supplied coal to the railroad, but the town suffered when trains began running on diesel fuel instead. Today about 200 people live there.
