A group of about 42 items of printed letterheads and billheads with some personal correspondence, all from or related to Stanford, a small town in Judith Basin County, Montana, and named by shepherds Calvin and Edward Bower after their hometown of Stanfordville, New York. When the railroad came through in 1908, the town was relocated 3 miles to be near it. About 400 people live there now. This is an area frequented by Western artist Charles M. Russell.
