Five letters to Charles Bartles of the Warrior Run Mining Company. Seven covers. Five are corner advertising covers with two different company cc's. These are addressed from Wilkes-Barre. Bartles was an important lawyer and the President of the Warrior Run. He was Lawyer, businessman, and civic leader, of Flemington and Tewksbury Township (Hunterdon County), N.J.. The company was a Pennsylvania coal mining company. Some of the contents are rather lengthy and all are interesting. For example, one 1886 envelope has a billhead with a list for the month of the number of cars ad tons shipped. There is a smaller billhead with the same type of information. There is also a report of arrivals and departures of cars on official stationary. Finally a letter with daily production. Another envelope includes letterhead Martin Coryell the general manager, "I have no information to give in regards to the Collary[?] as no work has been done there for the past six months." City: Wilkes-Barre State: Pennsylvania Date: 1886 ID# 38019
