This is interesting. Inscribed on back it says, "Iglex (J. Glez) to Benita Musalino / Florenz, Italy / Sept 4, 1906." Also the number (serial?) "2215." We do know Mussolini was connected to Cortebert. In the 1927, at the request of Mussolini, Cortebert started distributing their watches in Italy under the Perseo brand name. It is under this name that they were used by the Italian railway system. Cortebert distributed their Italian railroad watches through the Perseo brand as the fascist Italy rejected foreign brand names. Cortebert was a noted. Swiss watchmaker from 1790 to the 1970's. Main springs slips when winding. Dings on the case and Staining on the face. Nickel. Interesting Cortebert logo with a six sided star. So, is there a connection to Mussolini? We don't know!
