Bonds from this railroad are unknown. None listed in Cox, so these are rare. Very unusual that there is extensive writing in pen across the bond coupons on both. One bond has "Worthless" in large writing. The other bond reads, "The mortgage securing the following...bonds of which this Bond is one was foreclosed and Road sold by Sheriff of Tioga County. A little hard to read here but then, "1874- Said worthless Bonds have been destroyed and this Bond and list preserved as record of that fact...Bond numbers (illegible) to 350, inclusive for $100 dollars each". One of the bonds was for $100 and the other was for $1,000. The $1,000 bond was also certificate #1, which makes this even cooler. Both bonds have the similar language stating that the worthless bonds were destroyed and these were kept as a record.

It is highly likely that these two bonds are the only two in existance and only survived as a record of the railroad's liquidation. Very rare and interesting. Both bonds have beautiful and large railroad vignettes. Printed by Corlies Macy, N.Y.
