This was part of a set offered by the Cracker Jack Company back in the early 1900s. Before the present day sailor character, the company used the Cracker Jack Bears on their logo. The card set was offered for 10 box sides or "one side and 10 cents in stamps or silver." The various scenes with the bears includes the story of President Teddy Roosevelt, which eventually resulted in the invention of the "Teddy Bear."
The Cracker Jack Bears visit the Statue of Liberty. A box of Cracker Jacks balances on top of Lady Liberty's torch. One bear stands on the statue's raised arm while the other, holding a can of red paint, sits on a book painted with the words "Cracker Jack" painted in red that the statue holds in her other arm. This is very RARE and in clean condition. Please see photos for more details. [
