This Nichol plated and engraved revolver is marked Crescent on the top flat of the octagon barrel made by Prescott of Hatfield, Massachusetts. It features a 5 shot .32 cal. cylinder and 2 1/2in. barrel. S/N 8100 marked on the bottom of the barrel with matching serial on the cylinder. This one is nicely engraved with a fluted cylinder, and bone two-piece grips. These self-defense guns were produced by Prescott in the 1970's (pat. dated at April 23,1878) known as "muff" guns because they were carried in women's hand warming muffs while riding in a carriage. A high percentage of Nichol is present throughout, a nick missing at the top of the right grip. In non-working condition, the cylinder does not rotate. This gun is an antique and no attempt has been made to fire this gun to confirm its mechanical integrity. Nor should this gun be fired without the examination by a qualified gunsmith. Any attempt to fire an antique gun is at the risk of the owner and not consistent with the value of the firearm. No sales to New York, New Jersey, California, and Hawaii. This is an antique, non FFL firearm. Overall length is 6 3/4 in. Please see photo for details.
