1. Cripple Creek Consolidated Mining Company stock certificate No. 249, incorporated in Colorado. Issued to Mary C. Thornton for 10 shares ($1 per share) in Colorado Springs on May 30, 1892. Signed by company president. Vignette of mountain scene (Pike's Peak) with river and trees. Gold and brown.

2. Empire State Gold Mining Company stock certificate No. 148, incorporated in Colorado. Issued to Edgar K. Betts, for 10,000 shares ($1 per share) in Colorado Springs on November 30, 1897. Signed by company president J.E. Phillips. 23x15cm. Red on white paper. Includes copies of letters to Edgar K. Betts and William Barker and a copy of a certificate from the security loan company stating that Edgar K. Betts holds 52,500 shares of the Empire State Gold MC.

"The Empire State Gold Mining Company controls the eastern part of the
Pharmacist and Empire No. 2 veins near their intersection with the Buena Vista.
The production is at least $600,000, of which $300,000 is stated to have been taken
out from the big stopes at the intersection just mentioned."

3. The Free Coinage Gold Mining Company stock certificate No. 123, incorporated in Colorado. Issued to H.W. Barry for 100 shares ($1 per share) on October 11, 1892. Signed by S.F. Altman (president). Ornate black border, green and gold on white. 4x revenue coupons still attached. Vignette of bald eagle perched on rock with capital and steam locomotive in distance.

4. The Victor Gold Mining Company Limited stock certificate No. A1211, incorporated in France on February 16, 1893. Not issued. Signed by William E. Johnson (president), R.H. Reid (secretary). Stated on certificate" Cripple Creek, Colorado". 200,000 shares, par value $5 each. Property: Victor, Little Joe, Panther, and Victor No. 2; all situated on Bull Hill. 6x revenue coupons still attached. Vignette of 4 miners resting; 2 on bence and 2 against ore care. Orange and black print, orange seal.

5. The Victor Gold Mining Company Limited stock certificate No. B5142, incorporated in France on February 5, 1895. Not issued. Signed by William E. Johnson (president), R.H. Reid (secretary). Stated on certificate" Cripple Creek, Colorado". 200,000 shares, par value $10 each. Property: Victor, Little Joe, Panther, and Victor No. 2; all situated on Bull Hill. Vignette of 4 miners resting; 2 on bence and 2 against ore care. Green and black print, Green seal.

The Victor Gold MC certificates include a copy of "Investors' Guide to Wealth", vol. 1, No. 4, dated March 1896 out of Denver. 7 pages (single sided).
