Lot of 3 different stocks. 1) Findley Gold Mining Company. Art. #2562 issued to John Lennox in 1900 for 1000 shares. Signed by Geo. E. Lundley, president, and Sid Janess, secretary. Cancelled by punch holes through signature and purple stamps across face. Printer: Gowdy-Simmons Prtg. Co., Colorado Springs, Colo. Stub is glued to left end. There is a “Memorandum of Sale” note glued to lower left face of certificate which contains two 10-ct., brown, U.S. Internal Revenue adhesive stamps affixed to lower right corner and stamped by Shove, Aldrich & Co. “Mines Located at Cripple Creek, El Paso County, Colorado” printed beneath masthead. 2) Volcano Gold Mining Company, incorporated in Colorado. Cert. #2102 issued to Mrs. L.N. Francis in 1902 for 1000 shares. Signed by D.Weyand, vice president, and by secretary. U/C. Printer: Gowdy-Simmons Co., Colo. Springs, Colo. Orange border and seal. 3) McKinney Extension Gold Mining Company, also incorporated in Colorado. Cert. #296 issued to F.A. Gillespie in 1905 for 1000 shares. Signed by S.S. Bernard, president and by Daniel Thatcher, secretary. No printer noted. Datelined Colorado Springs. Cancelled by punch holes and red “Cancelled” stamps across face. Bernard and his brother were grocers in Colorado Springs. Slight staining at top margin. All VF.
