Two very important and massive specimens. Both are about 12 x 6 x 3" Cummingtonite schist develops in the sideroplesite. They are critical indicator minerals for the Homestake Formation, which was responsible for more than 50 million ounces of gold. The Homestake Formation is composed of 2 Ga metamorphosed sedimentary rocks. Highly controlled internally by the structure and mineralogy.
