Edward Sheriff Curtis published his masterwork, "The North American Indian," from 1907 through 1930. This limited edition intaglio photogravure print (#65 of 228) was sold by the Gallery of The North American Indian in Santa Fe, New Mexico and comes in the original mailing tube, still wrapped in the original plastic, with Certificate of Authenticity. Named "The Potter", copyright 1906. Hopi woman painting small pottery vessel. The 19 x 23 inch print was struck on classic hand-made paper from the original copper plates produced by E.S. Curtis. "Every visitor at East Mesa knows Nampeyo, the potter of Hano, whose creations excel those of any rival.
