This collection has 1st Lt. James E. Porter 7th Cavalry Killed in Action June 25, 1876 on a 10 in. X 13 in. backing with an oval photo 4.5 in. X 6in. His body was never found. There is also a CdV of James made by the C.H Ravell studio in Wolcott, N.Y. 2.5 in. X 4in.
2nd Lt. Benjamin Hubert Hodgson's cut square signature of the 7th Cavalry Company B. He was twenty-eight year old and temporarily assigned to duty with the Reno Company. His body was reinterred in 1977.
