This is an inventory and inspection document dated June 6, 1865 for goods signed for by John Gibbon. Colonel John Gibbon and his column were the rescuing party to the Custer Battle of the Little Big Horn. Upon seeing the arrival of yet another group of soldier's, the Sioux and Cheyenne left the Big Horn valley leaving the Reno and Benteen men as survivors. The Gibbon column would rescue the survivors and bury the dead of that battle. The document has clear signatures.
