This cabinet card is roughly 4.5 in. X 6.5 in. with the photo of a senior Chief Sitting Bull. The boarder is of a snowflake design, a very small pin hole is found in the boarder at the top, corners are round and crisp, two minor spots, one left and right. The image is crisp with good contrast. No photographer is identified on the front. The back of the card reads: "compliments of Mary Moore". This may be the same Mary Moore a famous actress of the time. There is a cut square signature with his name on a card 1.5 in. X 3.25 in. in excellent condition. Sitting Bull fought the 7th Cavalry at the Battle of the Little Big Horn but was not the leader. He had a premonition that he would win a great battle. Sitting Bull accompanied Buffalo Bill in his Wild West Show and later went home to the Dakotas. He was killed by accident in a skirmish on the reservation in 1890. It was feared that he might lead a Ghost Dance insurrection and was shot by accident. His remains location are unknown.
