A) Second of Exchange note from D.O. Mills & Co., Sacramento. Signed by DO Mills. No. 272 for $200, dated May 28, 1855. This exchange note has two rare vignettes, one of a sailing ship and the other of a steamer. In fact, the steamer looks very similar to the S.S. Central America. D.O. Mills' sister was married the day before the S.S. Central America set sail on its fateful voyage.
B) Check from D.O. Mills & Co. Bankers, Sacramento. This check is for $500 paid to Hardy & Kennedy? Dated December 21, 1852.
