First year of full operation! No. 188, issued for 1873 to T.J. Charlesworth, general superintendent of Chicago, Danville & Vincennes Railroad. Signed by Jones S. Meckling as superintendent. Printed on cardstock with blue font and gold background. Soiling and deep indentation/creases along right side. Started operation from Sioux City to Yankton in 1873. The first trip from Yankton to Sioux City took place in February 1873 with Meckling onboard and was memorialized as the first excursion on a Dakota railroad and the first railway to reach the Missouri River in Dakota Territory.
